The Blurb…

Brett Colson’s ready to get back into the dating game. Competing in rodeos across the country kept him out of the game, so when he hears about the 1Night Stand service from a friend, he takes a chance.

Bull rider Jace Peterson lost his first love over a year before to another man. Hitting his thirtieth birthday, Jace listens to his friends’ concerns; he needs to end his self-imposed dry spell and enlist the help of Madame Eve.

Brett and Jace expect nothing more than a satisfying one-night ride. But they’re wrong.

So what did I think?

With a title like “One Night Ride” you know what you are in for – one hot night of passion! The title doesn’t lie as Jace and Brett steam up the pages! But you do get a bit more from these two gorgeous cowboys – and speaking of gorgeous cowboys, I do love that cover!

Both men have reached the point in their lives where they feel the need to use a dating service. I loved the little glimpses of the personalities and backgrounds of each man and the natural way they interacted. I loved the sex and I loved the way both men had a feeling they wanted more (not that they’d admit it!)

There was one part in the story that I didn’t quite get or maybe didn’t think was made the most of – Jace’s ex being in the restaurant. It gave Jace a chance to talk about that part of his past but I think I was expecting more from this unexpected encounter.

I also felt the ending was too rushed and felt a little annoyed at Jace for waiting so long to make his move, particularly given his circumstances. I enjoyed the style of this book and really liked the characters so overall wanted it to go on longer. I wanted to see Jace have to work a bit more for his happy ending. I would love to see another book telling more of Brett and Jace’s story now they’ve decided that a one night ride wasn’t nearly enough!
