The blurb…

Wes Jensen just lost the sister who raised him, and gained custody of his niece. The last thing he needs to add to his full plate is dealing with Braden Roth, the one-night-stand who continues to try to push his way into Wes’ life. He has a kid to raise now, and Wes isn’t great at getting close anyway.

Braden has never had a woman or a man sneak out on him the morning after. From the start, Wes intrigues him, and Braden isn’t one to deny himself something he wants. And he wants Wes. The more time he spends with Wes and the little girl who constantly keeps them on their toes, the more Braden realizes this isn’t just about getting the guy who walked away.

As their lives intertwine more and more, Wes discovers Braden isn’t as shallow as he thought. But after everything Wes lost in his life, he isn’t sure he can risk his heart, and truly want Braden to stay—and if he did, would Wes’ quiet life be enough for Braden?

So what did Robyn think?

I enjoyed this as much as the first one. Collide was about Cooper and Noah and is a great friends-to-lovers, gfy read, where Stay involves Braden, who’s bi and Wes, who’s gay.

Braden is the guy who doesn’t have a filter and constantly talks, always putting his foot in his mouth. He’s a player and sleeps with anyone that takes his fancy. He’s never stayed in one place for long as he likes the adventure of new places. He’s likeable enough but some things he says, at the most inopportune time can make you cringe.  Wes on the other hand, doesn’t talk much. Doesn’t let anyone in for the fear that if he loves them they’ll leave. His father left, his mother died and just recently his older sister died and left him custody of his 4 year old niece.  The guys heart is huge, but he thinks he doesn’t have any time for a relationship. So what’s he gonna do when he has a one night stand with Braden and Braden wants to do it again.

They get under each other’s skin, thats what.  This was a great read and I loved the emotion that Riley portrays. Braden was a bit of an asshat in the beginning but I ended up loving him anyway. These guys tried not to fall in love, they really did try quite hard, but they were never going to win. I loved the interaction between Braden and Jessie and Braden family were fantastic.  Loved it all.

Really looking forward to Mason’s story in book #3.

Hope you enjoy – Robyn x
