The Blurb
Only a select few in the human world knew of the existence of the V-Unit, a small group of highly trained Marines – who happened to be vampires.
And it would have stayed that way.
But when events in the vampire world, threatened the stability of the human world, the powers that be called for the unit’s specialized services.
An intrepid war correspondent, Bronson Rudan, who’d seen more than his fair share of fighting, stumbles across the unit by accident, and is drawn into their world.
Bronson has no problem with that, given that he gets to spend time with a hunky Marine Lieutenant, Sarge. Although he won’t remember any of this when they’re through.
At least, that was the plan…

Review
Wow….what a story…If you love vampires and sexy hairy guys who love to have their wicked-wicked ways, then you would like this story A LOT.
The story line is very different and refreshing with a very masculine tone, so I really got caught up in the V Unit and its characters. The sex scenes are written generously and very explicitly so be prepared to swoon.
I can’t help but believe that Max’s vampires feel more real than some of the other vampire stories that I read. I mean, his vampires are very confident, masculine and lack inhibition in a very burley way. This story is not fluffy with brooding sparkling vampires looking permanently hurt. Nope.. Max Vos’ vampires are badass guys who are also emotional, but in a very alpha way.
I am still debating whether I like David or Woody more…but then there is Burrows too…hmm. decisions…decisions…
I hope there will be a second and a third in the series. 4.5 stars
