Today we are pleased to welcome Tessa Bailey to Two Men. Given this is the fourth book in the series, the rest of which are M/F, we asked Tessa to tell us how this m/m came about and if Tessa faced any challenges after writing the m/f stories in the series.
Crashed Out (Made In Jersey #1) – M/F
Thrown Down (Made In Jersey #2) – M/F
Worked Up (Made In Jersey #3) – M/F
Wound Tight (Made In Jersey #4) – M/M
When CEO Renner Bastion walks into a room, everyone keeps their distance. Well, everyone but the sarcastic, tattooed, Boston-bred security guard whose presence has kept Renner in New Jersey longer than intended. As if the unwanted attraction isn’t unsettling enough, Renner finds out his protector isn’t as unavailable as originally thought.
Milo Bautista just came out to his wealthy, ultra-confident boss, a man he secretly respects and admires…in more ways than he’ll admit. Worldly, experienced Renner would never look in his direction, let alone share some of that confidence he wears like a cloak, so Milo has set his sights on someone else to be his first.
Until Renner offers him private lessons in seduction…
Hi! Thank you for having me on to talk about WOUND TIGHT! There are always challenges with every book, which is my favorite part of writing. I love the unknown and unexpected. When I plotted this series, Renner Bastion was a straight man, but every time I tried to plot his specific book or create his match, something never felt right. I tried several different plots—nothing doing. My editor happened to approach me around the same time asking if I was interested in writing M/M—and that’s when it became obvious that I was overlooking the obvious about Renner. As soon as I paired him with Milo, the scrappy, glass half full security guard from Boston, the story clicked and felt infinitely right.
This being my first M/M, of course there was challenges. I found those challenges lay mostly in the softer moments. When I usually write men talking to one another, they’re ribbing one another or generally being uncomfortable with those more personal scenes, so having the men embrace that closeness, rather than awkwardly navigate it, was really nice. I loved every second of writing this relationship and these characters.

About the Author
Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.
Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.
She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of nine years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
