Saviors

Devon Vesper

Trust is more terrifying than any weapon.

All Valis wants is to escape the constant terror of his murderous father's fists and his lecherous uncle's machinations. Fleeing his father's attempt to sacrifice him to an evil god, he stumbles into the camp of two holy warriors. Trusting them is his only choice if he wants to live.

Trusting anyone could be fatal.

The warriors ask the impossible. To keep him safe, he must abandon everything he's ever known to join their monastery. And Valis isn’t sure their intentions are any better than his father’s. But no matter how many times or how hard he rebels, the warriors take him under their wings.

Trust offers hope, but hope is a treacherous thing.

His two saviors are the father figures Valis has always craved. They are his only hope for survival in a land plagued with people just like his birth father—followers of that evil god Valis almost died for. But after a lifetime of fear, Valis isn’t sure he’s strong enough to put his life and heart into the warriors’ hands and start over.

The M/M romantic elements in God Jars is a very slow burn. The romance doesn't start until book two. The God Jars Saga contains explicit material including violence and depictions of mental, emotional, and physical abuse. The God Jars Saga contains M/M sexual encounters, and is not advised for anyone under the age of 18.
