The Blurb…

Two of LAPD’s finest, Officer Jeff Chandler and his partner Mickey Stanton, have been together on duty for three years. When Mickey first met Jeff, a lateral transfer from Rain City- Seattle, he was crazy about him. When the men were assigned to a two-man patrol car, Jeff and Mickey’s attraction blossomed. And from then on, it was playtime!

On the street, Jeff and Mickey were tough and fearless, doing their job to protect and serve, but the testosterone charged pair were wild and out of control with their passion for each other. They loved doing risqué acts on duty and craved the adrenalin rush, until Jeff becomes burned out with patrol. His ambition is to rise up in the ranks. Soon the two men are at odds with what direction their careers should take, and Mickey resents Jeff for wanting to split up their team.

As friction begins to develop between them, they still have to continue battling the crime on LA’s streets. Between the raging fury and the sexual heat of their relationship, there is true love, and that love is put to the ultimate test, nearly ending in tragedy.

Top Men- Mickey and Jeff- The police officers you grew to love from GA’s Action! and Hero Series, back again to give fans a wild ride into the darkest secrets and desires of COPS.

So what did I think?

I first read about police officers Mickey and Jeff in Top Men, the third book of the Heroes series. I enjoyed that book but at the time made note that it was “Quite a good read but, dare I say it, maybe too much sex?! These guys are insatiable and like it violent and often!”

After three years together, these guys still like it rough and often. The police car is a favourite place for quickly getting each other off (and makes for a great cover!). But although it does have a lot of sex, this story focuses very much on the deep love Mickey and Jeff feel for one another.

They live together and work together, spending each day side-by-side in the squad car. They are able to watch over and protect one another. When it looks like their careers may be taking them in opposite directions and potentially splitting them up, things come to a head.

With sex, police action, shootings and a happy ending this was a fast paced and enjoyable read.

If you haven’t read the Heroes series yet, I can recommended the first book Man To Man which is about lifeguards. I am now going to start on the Action series (there are overlapping characters between the series).

The Blurb…

It started with an accidental click…but where will it end?

Desperate to turn in a paper, Adam borrows his roommate’s computer and mistakenly opens a folder that contains Josh’s collection of porn. Adam had no idea that his jock roommate was gay—and into leashes, paddles and domination. And Adam, an inexperienced virgin who’s only ever kissed one guy, is surprised to find himself curious about submitting…

Josh can’t believe that his roommate discovered his spank bank—and he can’t believe that Adam is so turned on by the thought of giving up control to someone. Taking a chance, he offers to look through the photos with Adam…and maybe try acting some of them out.

Night after night, the boys delve into their darkest fantasies of domination and submission. And as lust and experimentation grow into the promise of something deeper, Adam must decide if he’s brave enough to tell Josh how he feels.

So what did I think?

An interesting combination of sweetness and hotness as two inexperienced college roommates discover they are perfectly balanced in their desires.

Adam discovers some images on Josh’s computer: images of kneeling, collars and spanking. He is hugely turned on and embarrassed at being caught but unable to get the images out of his mind.

“Did you, uh, like them?” Josh switched the TV off. “The pictures?”
He carefully refrained from pointing out he’d had his hand in his pants when Josh had walked in. “Yeah, I liked them.”
“Even though they were all gay?”
“Kind of especially because they were all gay.”

There is a real sense of anticipation and nervousness as Josh and Adam start to explore their D/s relationship. On one hand they are both tentative but they both know what they want and there is a real honesty to the relationship.

It is sweet to see their emotional connection develop at the same time as they get more adventurous in their exploration. “He and Josh were walking close enough that his hand could brush Josh’s without much effort. He didn’t, but he could.”

This was a relatively short story but the journey was engaging from Josh and Adam’s initial explorations into BDSM to their realisation they wanted more than a ‘business arrangement’.
